Digital Archiving and Repository Policy

 
As an open access journal, Acta Histochemica et Cytochemica places a high priority on immediate and permanent digital accessibility to our contents. Acta Histochemica et Cytochemica primarily publishes its articles on J-STAGE, an electronic journal platform operated by the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST). Additionally, all full-text articles from volume 39 onwards are indexed on PubMed Central (PMC), ensuring easy access to our articles worldwide. Articles in Acta Histochemica et Cytochemica are also automatically deposited on Portico, which guarantees long-term preservation of our digital publication data.
 

Acta Histochemica et Cytochemica allows authors to archive their articles in institutional repositories under the following conditions. Authors should:
 

• – Specify that the copyright is owned by the Japan Society of Histochemistry and Cytochemistry.
• – Specify the citation information (publication date/volume, issue, page numbers, DOI).
• – Archive their article in an institutional repository after its official publication on J-STAGE.
• – Download and use the PDF file from the official J-STAGE publication.
